Regional Representative for East and Southern Africa

Finnish Red Cross is searching for a Regional Representative for East and Southern Africa. Regional position is based in Nairobi, Kenya. Mission duration is two years, beginning latest 30th June 2021.

The overall purpose of the position is to ensure Finnish Red Cross (FRC) programmes, operations and partnerships in the region are relevant, competitive, add value to diverse Red Cross partners. The Regional Representative is the key focal point for FRC in the region, representing FRC vis-à-vis partners, donors and wider humanitarian and development community. His/her main role includes strategic planning, positioning of FRC as key actor for identified thematic objectives and managing FRC regional resources for achieving the objectives set.

Fluent written and spoken English required, French is an advantage.
