Senior Officer Primary Data Collection

Finnish Red Cross is searching for a Senior Officer to Primary data collection to The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC or “the Federation”). IFRC is the world’s largest volunteer-based humanitarian network. The Federation is a membership organization established by and comprised of 190 member National Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies. Along with National Societies and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), the Federation is part of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. The position is based in Geneva, Switzerland with the duration of one year with the possibility to one year extension, starting in mid-July 2019.

The purpose of this position is to provide a timely and reliable service to the IFRC network through the development and maintenance of innovative information management and primary data collection tools for disaster and crisis prevention, response and recovery.  Specifically, the Senior Officer is accountable for the development and maintenance of the system(s) to capture, store, manipulate, analyse, manage, and present all types of primary data in IFRC emergency operations, including the IFRC primary data collection servers.
