IFRC Program Support Delegate, Niger

Finnish Red Cross is searching for Program Support Delegate for International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) Country Office in Niger for 12 Months, starting as soon as possible.

Reporting to the Operations Coordinator Delegate, the Program Support Delegate, as Covid-19 Programme Manager, supports activities that contribute towards achieving Strategy 2020s' strategic aims 1 Save lives, protect livelihoods, and strengthen recovery from disaster and crises and 2 Enable healthy and safe living. The position contributes to strengthening of IFRC's operations specifically related to Covid-19 operations set for Niger.

The delegate will be responsible for coordinating grant management and providing strategic and operational leadership on the Phase II Covid-19 grant, as well as in preparing the future phases of the responses following the Niger RCS Contingency Plan and the indications established by IFRC. The Programme Manager will rely on the Ops Coordinator Delegate regarding operational responsibility in programmatic development, implementation and evaluation of strategies to effectively address emerging issues, risks and opportunities related to the EA Covid-19 programme.

Fluency in both written and spoken French and English is required.
