IFRC Emergency Health Delegate, Niger

Finnish Red Cross is searching for Emergency Health Delegate for International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) Country Office in Niger for 12 Months, starting as soon as possible.

The Emergency Health Delegate will be responsible for supporting/working with Niger RCS to manage and effectively implement the Health programs set in the Emergency Plan of Action (EPOA) and NS Contingency Plan. This position will work closely with IFRC Operational Team in Niger to ensure an integrated approach to programming that best suits the needs of the affected population.

The Emergency Health components of the EPOA include:

a) Health for affected population (men, women, boys and girls), which could also include psychosocial wellbeing.

b) Community based disease prevention, hygiene and health promotion

c) Staff and volunteer health and wellbeing

The Emergency Health delegate will work closely with the Health and other relevant sectors of the NS to ensure appropriate response for in full accordance of the EPoA.

Fluency in both written and spoken French and English is required.
