2. Masters degree in development, a social science or related field; specialization in “gender and development” would be an asset.
3. At least 5 years of relevant, proven working experience in Gender Equity and Gender Mainstreaming and/or other related social/development issues;
4. Good knowledge of concepts, international experiences and practices as well as methodologies on promoting and advocating gender equality and gender mainstreaming;
5. Good project management experience;
6. Knowledge of relevant policies, priorities and programmes in the field of gender equity and gender mainstreaming of both UN/DP and developing countries, especially in the South and South– East Asia regions, is an asset;
7. Work experience with international organizations would be an asset.
8. Ability to work in a multi-cultural team environment and to deliver under pressure/meet deadlines.
9. Previous volunteer experience is desired.
10. Strong analytical skills and conceptual thinking.
11. Good project management skills and ability to work independently.
12. Strong communication, advocacy and networking/coordination/partnership skills.
13. Excellent written and presentation skills in English.
14. Computer skills are required, including competence in MS Office, Internet Explorer.
